Basic Training:

The goal of our basic training is to get you to become familiar with the computer as a whole. The student should leave this class feeling more confident about the computer and willing to learn more and even "explore" on their own.

Instruction Includes:

Powering the system on and off properly. Using the mouse. Start Menu features. Navigating the Windows desktop. Using toolbars, menus and dialog boxes.

Operating Systems-Basics:

The basic operating system class is designed to get you beyond playing solitaire and teach you what the various Windows Operating Systems can do....and what you can do with them.
Classes for the home user cover Windows 98, Millenium(Me), 2000 and XP
Classes for the commercial user cover Windows 2000 and/or NT4.

Instruction Includes:

Windows installation and configuration. Setting up and using printers. Installing additional hardware and software. Customizing the appearance of Windows. Working with files and folders. Using Windows applications. Creating documents. Creating graphics.

Operating Systems-Advanced:

The advanced operating system class is designed for those who have experience using Windows, but desire to know more about the advanced features of the software. This class builds on the elements taught in the basic operating system class (not a prerequisite).

Instruction Includes:

Disk management (backups, defragmenting, scheduling tasks) Managing files and folders. Controlling the Control Panel. Using Internet Explorer. Internet Connection Sharing. Using/Formatting floppy disks and other removable media. Working with multimedia. CD/DVD Creation Using Network Neighborhood. Setting up a small network. Document/printer/file sharing.

Web Design Basics:

This course id designed for the beginner to web design. We will teach you the foundation needed to become more proficient and to get your first pages on the web.

Instruction Includes:

Understanding HTML Create a web page using HTML How to link to other pages Aligning and formatting text on a web page Creating HTML forms Basics of web page graphics Backgrounds and colors

Web Design Intermediate:

This course is designed to build on basic knowledge of design. Here we will teach the student more advanced techniques.

Instruction Includes:

Advanced Web Graphics Web page design considerations Graphical links Advanced layout using tables Style Sheets Dynamic web pages Dynamic HTML

Web Design Advanced:

This top-level course will show the student how to develop a web SITE, using advanced tools and techniques.

Instruction Includes:

Building a web SITE Using Microsoft Frontpage Using Macromedia Dreamweaver Use of forms to collect data
